In June 1978 the Board of Governors created a new class of membership for those members with 35 consecutive years as a member, and who have attained age 75, to be termed Emeritus Members.       Go Back

They are to have all the rights, privileges and benefits of regular and life members without having any more dues levied or collected.

The Board of Directors found that the age qualification was inappropriate and at their meeting of September 7, 1988 and effective immediately, anyone with 40 or more of continuous membership in good standing will be eligible for Emeritus status.

Those who qualify under either of there criteria will be accepted as Emeritus Members for the next 5 years. In 1993 and beyond, the 40 year rule will prevail.
