BNAPS AWARDS
BNAPS Service Awards The British North America Philatelic Society has a long tradition of honouring those members who have contributed long hours of effective service to the Society. As with many voluntary organizations, there are those who work diligently to help achieve the goals of BNAPS. The following active awards are presented at the annual BNAPS Conventions and the awardees are recognized both there and in the Archives of the Society.
Vincent G. Greene Award - The Vincent G. Greene Award was established April 1947, and is presented annually to the author of the best article or series appearing in B.N.A. TOPICS in the previous year. Further information is presently available HERE.
John J. Siverts Award - This award is given annually to the editor of the best Study Group newsletter published during the previous calendar year. Further information is presently available HERE.
President's Award Certificate - This award is given annually to the B.N.A.P.S. member who introduced the most new members into the Society during the previous calendar year (Established 1947). This award is now under review. Further information is presently available HERE.
Hall of Fame Award - Initiated in 1993 by then President Chuck Firby, BNAPS Hall of Fame Awards are intended to honour members who have made a significant general or specific contribution to the society which should not go unrecognized. There are two categories, contributions by members in elected or appointed positions, or contributions by individual members acting on their own initiative. Jack Levine Fellowship Award - This award has been created to honor the SPARK PLUG of each Regional Group with presentation also scheduled to take place at the convention awards banquet by the Regional Group Vice President. Further information is presently available HERE.
Rich Toop Memorial Award - The Ritch Toop Memorial Award was created in 1998 to honor the memory of E. R. Toop. It is presented for the best article on military philately in the previous year. Further information is presently available HERE. BNAPS also recognizes that those having 40 or more of continuous membership in good standing will be eligible for Emeritus status. They are designated as "Emeritus Members" and are also recognized at the annual convention. For recent history of this definition, please go HERE.

The Order of the Beaver
Induction into the Order of the Beaver, the Fellowship of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS), honours members who have met established criteria in the categories of: Distinguished service to BNAPS; Service to organized philately in general; Contributing freely of his/her philatelic knowledge; and regularly attendance and participation at the annual BNAPEX conventions.
