BNAPS' Order of the Beaver Inductees and Awards 2004
The medal awarded to members of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) when they are inducted into the Order of the Beaver.
New Members of the Order of the Beaver
Induction into the Order of the Beaver, the Fellowship of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS), honours members who have met established criteria in the categories of: Distinguished service to BNAPS; Service to organized philately in general; Contributing freely of his/her philatelic knowledge; and regularly attendance and participation at the annual BNAPEX conventions.
At BNAPEX 2005 in Edmonton, Order of the Beaver Chairman William C. (Bill) Walton announced that WILLIAM S. PAWLUK was being inducted into the Order.
Bill Pawluk: Long time BNAPS member William S. Pawluk was inducted into the Order of the Beaver, honorary society of BNAPS, at the awards banquet of BNAPEX 05 in Edmonton on September 4, 2005. Requirements for membership include service to BNAPS, exhibiting widely at BNAPEX and other national and regional shows, service to organized philately, sharing and advancement of philatelic knowledge, regular attendance at BNAPEX meetings. Bill has long served the Calgary Regional Group as Chairman, member and program presenter. He is currently First Vice President of BNAPS, and previously has chaired or co-chaired several committees of the Society, and has served as judge at BNAPEX shows as well as an accredited national judge in Canada. He has just completed a major new work on 1897-1911 postal history with George Arfken, soon to be published. Bill won the Grand Award at BNAPEX 95 in Edmonton for Canada: Postal Regulations, Rates, and Usages - Domestic and International Mail, 1897-1911.
